This recommendation was approved.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR K. W. HSU (4) A request from Professor Eliot Blackwelder for an undergraduate scholarship in the department of geology for Mr. K. W. Hsu who has been sent to this country by the newly organized Geological Survey of China to be trained as an official paleontologist of his country. The present financial embarrassment of China has temporarily deprived him of the means to prosecute his studies for the present year.

This matter was referred to the President of the University with power to act.
