At a meeting held on February 27, 1919, the Committee voted to recommend to the President of the University that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be issued to the successful candidates in this examination, namely: John A. The President of the University was authorized to issue the diplomas of Certified Public Accountant to the persons named as recommended therefor by the Committee on Accountancy.

WAGES OF AGRICULTURAL LABORERS (39) A request of the College of Agriculture and Agricultural Experiment Station for an additional increase in wages for their employees involving an addition to the Agricultural budget of about $30,000 a year.

This matter was referred to a committee consisting of the committee on Agriculture and the Executive Committee.

CONTRACTS, M U S I C BUILDING (40) A statement from James M. White, Supervising Architect, that the contract for the ornamental iron work in the Smith Memorial Hall was let to the low bidder, Adelbert E. Coleman of Chicago, at a figure of $19,575; also that the lathing and plastering contract was let to Klein and Watson of Peoria as the lowest responsible bidders at $32,375, and the memorial room at $3,285.

This report was received for record.

(41) SALE O F F I S H E R FARM A letter from the Comptroller as to the sale of the Fisher Farm. March 4, 1919 President Edmund J, James

M Y DEAR PRESIDENT JAMES:

On September 3, 1918 (pages 86-87), the Board of Trustees authorized me to sell the Fisher farm to Mr. Curtis E. Underwood and Mr. George E. Jones, Mr. Underwood to take the N W - K and the SW-X of the NE-^< of 31-22-8, and Mr. Jones to take the SE-X of the N E - X of 31-22-8. Mr. Underwood has agreed with Mr. Jones to assign to the latter the portion of his contract covering the SW->£ of the NE-X of 31-22-8, Mr. Jones to pay the same price at which Mr. Underwood contracted to buy this land. I have accepted this assignment for the Board of Trustees. I recommend that my action in this respect be confirmed. Cordially yours,
