An applicant who has not been graduated from an accredited school must pass entrance examinations in the following subjects, amounting to 5 units: English composition Algebra Additional subjects to be designated by the University authorities 1 unit 1 unit 3 units

Total 5 units The remaining 10 units necessary to make up the 15 units required for admission may also be made in entrance examinations or may be offered by certificate from an accredited school.

2. PRESCRIBED SUBJECTS

(a) For the School of Pharmacy The fifteen units required for the School of Pharmacy must include the following prescribed subjects: English 3 units Algebra 1 unit Plane geometry 1 unit Physics or chemistry or zoology or botany or physiology or physiography, with laboratory work 1 unit 6 units {b) For the College of Dentistry The Subjects prescribed for the College of Dentistry are the same as for the School of Pharmacy except that physics must be offered as the unit in laboratory science. (b) A recommendation that one year of college work be required for admission to the College of Dentistry beginning September 1, 1921. February 28, 1919 President Edmund J. James

After a thoro discussion the faculty of the College of Dentistry recommend that beginning with the session of 1921-22 one year of college be required for admission to the dental curriculum. This action is in conformity with the action of the Board of Regents of the State of New York, and the recommendation of the Dental Faculties Association of American Universities. Sincerely,
