MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS March 11, 1919 The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University, in Urbana, at 10 o'clock a. m. on Tuesday, March 11, 1919. When the Board convened, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Herbert, Mr, Hoit, Mr. Trimble, Mr. WTard; also, Miss Florence E. Watson, a member of the Board during the last term. President James was present. , The Secretary announced that the three members-elect, Mrs. Margaret Day Blake, of Chicago, Mr. John M. Herbert, of Murphysboro, and Mr. Cairo A. Trimble, of Princeton, who were present, had taken the oath of office before the meeting. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of October 16, November 23, and December 10, 1918, and January 8, 1919. On motion of Mr. Hoit, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 151 to 222, above. Mr. Abbott presented the minutes of the meetings of the Executive Committee, held March 12 (pages 711-720), June 11 (pages 809-814), September 3 (pages 85-132), October 16, 1918 (pages 151-171), and January 8, 1919 (pages 207-222), and moved that they be accepted as part of the record of the Board. This motion was carried. 223
