The Engineering Experiment Station of the University of Illinois at Urbana, Illinois, has recently published its Circular No. 8, entitled "The Economical Use of Goal in Railway Locomotives". It contains 70 pages, is very well' illustrated, and is sure to be interesting and useful to enginemen, trainmen, shopmen, trainmasters, dispatchers, and others who have to do with locomotive operation and maintenance or with train operation. ; ! , I would suggest that you ask the Federal Managers to obtain a supply of these circulars for the men on their roads, or ask them ; at least, to advertise it among their men. Its wide circulation will promote fuel economy.
