MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS October 16, 1918 A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blacks tone Hotel, in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, October 16, 1918, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on October 8, 1918: On the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon, on Wednesday, October 16, 1918, to consider matters submitted by the President of the University and the Committees of the Board, and such other matters as may be duly submitted. When the Board convened, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Taggart, Miss Watson. As there was no quorum, the Board adjourned. H. E. CUNNINGHAM W. ABBOTT Secretary President EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING, OCTOBER 16, 1918 A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Wednesday, October 16, 1918, immediately following the adjournment of the meeting of the Board on the same day. Mr. W. L. Abbott, chairman, and Mr. O. W. Hoit, member of the Committee, were present; also Mrs. Mary E. Busey, Mrs. Laura B. Evans, Mr. J. E. Taggart, and Miss Florence E. Watson, members of the Board. President James was present; also, during part of the afternoon, Professor J. M. White, Supervising Architect. 151
