On motion of Mr. Qkth the President of the University was authorized to make a contract with tile Y. M. C. A. for the use of its building, in lieu of the present one, based in general on the plan proposed by the Comptroller with such modifications as may seem wise after consultation with the other parties interested.

ADDI+ION TO GYMNASIUM ANNEX

(2) A request frorrii the Commandant of the School of Military Aeronautics that additional space be provided for the instruction in gunnery\ Professor White recommends the construction of a one story building, which may serve as an addition to the Gymnasium Annex (old Armory), immediately on the east, extending to the east about fifty feet on a line with the south! front of the Gymnasium Annex, and extending north about one hundred and fifty feet. I arii herewith submitting an elevation view and Professor White's statement that the roof trusses are of wood* the clear interior dimensions are fifty by one hundred forty-two' feet which, with the addition of the loggia in front, makes the building one hundred Md fifty feet long. This design will cost between $i8;000 and $20£k)0; not counting equipment. On motion of Mr. Trimble, the President of the University was authorized to direct the erection of this building after he has satisfied himself that the Aviation Ground School will be continued at the University for the period of the war or at least two years.
