I am also enclosing a summary statement of the expenses of the School of Military Aeronautics actually paid to and including September 30, 1917, a total of $17,295.26. In addition to the expenses as thus shown, there were outstanding and unpaid at September 30 purchase orders and job orders estimated to cost a total of $9,344.37, including an estimate of $5,000 for alterations in the Y. M. C. A. Building. These figures do not include the following expenses related to the project: Heat, current, and water furnished to the Y. M. C. A. Building, being used as barracks, to September 30, estimated $541.76. The same items to the President's old house, being used as the Y. M. C. A. Building (estimate not available t o d a y ) .
