Purchase price of the above, $3,550. From Fannie B. Sherfy and Thomas Arkle Clark: Lot 71 in College Place Addition to Champaign, located at the southeast corner of Arbor Street and Armory Avenue, having a frontage of 57 feet on Armory Avenue and 120 feet on Arbor Street. Subject to general taxes for the year 1917 and to seven instalments of assessment for Armory Avenue pavement at $18.96 each, total §132.72, plus interest. Lot 72 in College Place Addition to the city of Champaign, located on Armory Avenue between Arbor Street and Third Street, having a frontage of 57 feet on Armory Avenue and a depth of 120 feet. Subject to general taxes for the year 1917 and to seven instalments of assessment for Armory Avenue pavement at $18.96 each, total $132.72, plus interest. Purchase price of the above, $5,700. Total price of four lots, $9,250. Title to all of the above lots has been examined and approved by Judge O. A. COOPERATIVE HOUSES FOR GIRLS

(4) A proposed plan for the organization of cooperative rooming houses for girls. This was drawn up by the Comptroller after consultation with the Dean of Women and Professor White, and has the approval of all three. The plan involves taking over the lease of the house on 1001 West Illinois Street, Urbana, for two years beginning September 1, 1917. I recommend its adoption. PLAN OF ORGANIZATION OF COOPERATIVE ROOMING HOUSES FOR GIRLS r. Houses to be provided by the University It is proposed that the University will provide on the basis of weekly rental for each girl in each house, to be fixed on the recommendation of the Dean of Women and the Supervising Architect, approved by the President of the University, certain residences now owned by it. The rental for these houses will be paid to the University as indicated below. (For the year 1917-18, it is proposed to assign houses as authorized by the Board of Trustees, located at 502*^ South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana; 504 South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana; and 806 South Sixth Street, Champaign; at a rental of $1.00 per week per girl.) 2. University to lease houses It is proposed that the Comptroller will lease for the University on the recommendation of the Dean of Women and the Supervising Architect, approved by the President of the University, certain other residences to be used as cooperative rooming houses, PROPOSED
