BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPOINTMENTS MADE BY PRESIDENT JAMES

The Secretary presented for record the following list of appointments made by the President of the University to fill vacancies:

Ashman, Richard, Assistant in Physiology, for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, at a salary of one hundred twenty dollars ($120) a month. (May 21, 1917*). Bacon, A. T., Member of the Board of Examiners in Accountancy to fill the unexpired term ending June 30, 1919, of Mr. C, M. DeLany. (May 29, 1917). tBurt, H. J., Research Fellow in Ceramic Engineering in the Engineering Experiment Station, for two years beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of five hundred dollars ($500) a year. (May 23, 1917). tCilley, Lilliey Reference Assistant in the Library, for two months beginning June 15, 1917, at a salary of seventy-five dollars ($75) a month. (May 16, 1917). Dory, G. L., Fellow in Romance Languages, for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of thirty dollars ($30) a month. (May 29, 1917). Edmonds, H. G., Scholar in Physics, for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of twenty-five dollars ($25) a month. (May 29, 1917)Fleming, D. F., Scholar' in Political Science, for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of twenty-five dollars ($25) a month. (May 29, 1917). Gehrig, A. G., Research Fellow in Civil Engineering in the Engineering Experiment Station, for two years beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of five hundred dollars ($500) a year. (May 7, 1917). tGriffin, G. F., Shelf Assistant in the Library, at a salary of fifty-five dollars ($55) a month, from June 1, 1917, to August 31, 1917; this appointment superseding his previous appointment. (May 4, 1917). Klein, Gordon, Shelf Assistant in the Library, at a salary of fifty-five dollars ($55) a month, from June 1, 1917, to August 31, 1917; this appointment superseding his previous appointment. (May 29, 1917). tKnaus, A. C , Research Fellow in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in the Engineering Experiment Station, for two years beginning September 1, 1917, with a stipendium of five hundred dollars ($500) a year. (May 8, 1917). Lyon, W. R., Research Fellow in Electrical Engineering in the Engineering Experiment Station, for two years beginning September I, 1917,. with a stipendium of five hundred dollars ($500) a year. (June 4, 1917). Magnuson, P. B., Instructor in Surgery and Clinical Surgery, from May 18 to September 30, 1917, without salary. (May 18, 1917).
