(May 23, 1916.) Cross, S. H., Instructor in German for ten months beginning September 1, 1916, a t a salary of one hundred twenty dollars ($120) a month. (May 1, 1916.) Dole, R. B., Acting Engineer in the State Water Survey, for two months beginning May 1, 1916, a t a salary of three hundred thirty-three and one-third dollars ($333.33 1/3) a month. (May 1, 1916.) Edwards, M. R., Graduate Assistant in Bacteriology, for five months beginning February 1, 1916, a t a salary of thirty dollars ($30) a month. (March 24, 1916.) Peeney, E. K, Technician in the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry, on a monthly basis beginning April 1, 1916, at a salary of seventy-five dollars ($75) a month. (May 16, 1916.) Fernsemer, O. F . S., Assistant in German, on part time, for ten months beginning September 1, 1916, a t a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month. (May 1, 1916.) Jones, Sadie, Stenographer in the Engineering Experiment Station, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, beginning March 27, 1916, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (March 27, 1916.) Lindholm, Karin J., Clerk in the Catalog Department of the Library, on onehalf time, beginning April 21, 1916, and ending August 31, 1916, a t a salary of twenty-seven and one-half dollars ($27.50) a month. (April 22, 1916.) McDonald, Effie K, Technician in the Department of Experimental Medicine and Bacteriology, beginning when she reports for duty and continuing until June 30, 1916, a t a salary of seventy dollars ($70) a month. (April 21, 1916.) Mohlman, F . W., Instructor in Sanitary Chemistry, for the academic year beginning September 1, 1916, without salary. (April 22, 1916.) Nickerson, A. J., Tool-room Attendant in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, a t a salary of fifty-four and one-sixth dollars ($54.16 2-3) a month, beginning May 1, 1916, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (May 14, 1916.) Stout, J. E., Instructor in Education in the Summer Session of 1916, with a stipend of four hundred fifty dollars ($450) for the session. (May 9, 1916.) Whitson, Anna V., University Stenographer, Grade III, in the President's Office, at a salary of one hundred dollars ($100) a month, beginning April 1, 1916, and continuing until further notice,' subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission; this appointment superseding her former appointment a t $75 a month. (April 6, 1916.) Young, C. M., Assistant Professor of Mining Research, beginning when he may report for duty and continuing until July 1, 1917, a t a salary of twenty-four hundred dollars ($2,400) a year. (March 23, 1916.)
