The Secretary presented also for record the following list of appointments made by President James to fill vacancies:

Bernhard, P. X, to give three hours' service a week in the Clinic of the College of Dentistry, beginning January 1, 1916, and continuing until June 30, 1916, at a total remuneration of four hundred dollars ($400) : this appointment superseding his former appointment at $300. (April 7, 1916.)* Boswell, H. C.,f Tool-room Attendant in the Machine Shop, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, beginning April 1. 1916, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (April 11, 1916.) Bramwell, C. H., Instructor in Operative and Prosthetic Dentistry, for two months beginning April 10, 1916, at a salary of sixty dollars ($60) a month. (April 8, 1916.) Byland, T. C , Tool-room Attendant in the Wood Shop, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, beginning April 1, 1916. and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (March 24, 1916.) Burns, Byron, University Stenographer, Rank II, in the Department of Military Science, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, beginning Anril 18, 1916, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission.
