1913] PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. 601 Meeting of June 11, 1912. The regular quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the trustees' room at the University in TJrbana, on Tuesday, June 11, 1912, beginning at 10:00 a. m. The following members of the board were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit. President James was also present. HONORARY DEGREES FOR PROFESSOR BURRILL AND PROFESSOR SHATTUCK. President James presented a recommendation from the University Senate that the degree of LL.D. should be conferred at the coming commencement upon Professor T. J. Burrill, vice president, and Professor S. W. Shattuck, comptroller, who will retire from the active service of the University on Aug. 31, 1912. On motion of Mrs. Bahrenburg, this recommendation was approved: PLANS FOR DAIRY BARN APPROVED. Professor James M. -White, supervising architect, submitted plans for a new dairy barn on the South farm. On motion of Mr. Hatch, it was voted that the supervising architect be directed to proceed with the erection of. this dairy barn on the South farm, in accordance with plans designed by him and -approved by the Agricultural Committee of the board. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit; noes, none; absent, Mr. Anthony, Mr. Blair, Mr. Deneen, Mr. Meeker, Mr, Moore. The boar4 adjourned to meet at 9:00 a. m., on Wednesday, June 12, 1912. W. L. ABBOTT, C. M. MCCONN, President. Secretary. Session of June 12, 1912.
