P A Y M E N T O F E I R E INSPECTOR.

President Abbott requested the board to authorize the payment of t h e fire inspector's fee of fifty dollars ($50) for a recent inspection of t h e buildings of t h e University. This authorization was given, the vote being as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Meeker; noes, none; absent, Mr. Anthony, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mr. Blair, Mr. D'eneen, Mr. Moore.

A P P R O P R I A T I O N Foil M E D I C A L LABORATORIES.

The following report of the Committee on the College of Medicine was received for record: March 14, 1911. Mr. G. M. McGonn, Secretary: DEAR SIR—At the meeting of the Committee on the College of Medicine held in Professor Shattuck's office today it was voted that $2,000.00 additional should be appropriated to the College of Medicine to carry on its additional laboratory work. , This is the matter which was referred by the Executive Committee to the Medical Committee, with power to act. The secretary presented a recommendation from President James that Mr. F . Lueder, of Peoria, should be appointed a member of t h e Advisory Board of the School of Pharmacy, to fill the vacancy caiised by the expiration of the term of Mr. Prank Thomas. The recommendation was approved.

B L A N K E T B O N D EOR M I L I T A R Y STORES.

The secretary called attention to the request .of Major B . C. Morse, commandant, that a blanket bond amounting to eighty thousand dollars be executed, in accordance with a recommendation of the War Department, to cover the military supplies now.in the possession of the University and subsequent supplies as they may be ordered. This request was presented at the meeting of the Executive Committe on March 14, and action on i t was deferred until this session.
