List of nominations made by the Illinois Pharmaceutical Association for the filling of the vacancy on the Advisory Board of the Illinois School of Pharmacy, caused by the expiration of the term of Frank Thomas of Cairo, viz: Mr. John H. Wells, 241 Fifth avenue, Chicago. Mr. L. P. Larson, 3201 W. Madison street, Chicago. Mr. Fritz Lueder, 509 S. Adams street, Peoria, 111. Mr. Otto Hartwig, 1950 Milwaukee avenue, Chicago. Mr. Joseph Hottinger, 401 Oak street, Chicago. Voted that the president of the University be authorized to tender the appointment to the said position to the gentlemen named in the order indicated. PROFESSOR T. W. HUGHES' RESIGNATION. 4. Letter from Professor Thomas W. Hughes, resigning his position in the Law School to take effect Sept. 1, 1910, on account of having accepted a similar position in the University of Louisiana Law School.

James, University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois: MY DEAR PRESIDENT JAMES—Owing to ill health, I requested a few weeks ago that I be granted a year's leave of absence on half salary, and my request was very kindly granted by the Board of Trustees. v Since then, however, my health has improved very much, and owing to this fact, and also to the further fact that for several years I have entertained a desire to locate where the winters are milder than they are in Illinois, I have accepted the offer of a professorship in Louisiana State University for next year, beginning September 1st, next. In view of this fact, I respectfully request that my resignation as professor of law in the University of Illinois, be accepted by the Board of Trustees, said resignation to take effect September 1st of the present year. Voted that said resignation be accepted. RESIGNATION OP PROFESSOR J. H. GILL. 5. Statement that in accordance with the authority given by the board, the resignation of Assistant Professor J. H. Gill had been accepted to take effect Aug. 31, 1910. APPROPRIATIONS. 6. The following requests for appropriations: 1. To install temperature regulation in Dr. Zeleny's and other laboratories in the Natural History building, $75.00. 2. Lens for the lantern in lecture room 228, Natural History building, $50.00. 3. Construction of Animal room in the attic of the Natural History building, $1,000.00. 4. Construction of additional rooms in the present stair-wall of the Natural History building, $1,100.00. 5. Construction of rooms for the Psychological Laboratory in the fifth story of old University hall, $1,200.00. Beferred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds with power to act.
