PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF. TRUSTEES. TREASURER'S ACCOUNT.

We compared all warrants paid during the quarter with the treasurer's records; we also obtained from the State Bank of Chicago a certificate certifying to the balance of cash on deposit to the credit of the treasurer at the close of business Mar. 31, 1910, the balance being $458,855.38. The following is a reconcilement of the treasurer's books with those of the University at Mar. 31, 1910:

Treasurer's balance, per University books.. Add unpaid warrants, Schedule " 9 " Balance as per Treasurer's books.. Made up as follows— . General fund : — College of Medicine fund School of Pharniacy fund U. S. Agricultural Experiment fund. Total as above. $437,667 71 17,650 23 1,401 461 2,135 98 $458,855 38 $357,325 45 101,529 93 $458,855 38

"We suggest that the comptroller be permitted to reverse and write off all warrants outstanding as shown in the following statement. Some of these, it will be noted, date back to 1903. All of the vouchers covering these outstanding warrants are receipted and on file, but the warrants drawn on the treasurer for these sums have never passed the bank or, been included in the list of warrants paid. We suggest that these warrants be reversed on June 30, the close of the fiscal year:
