[Feb. 3

Meeting of February 3, 1910.

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Grand Pacific hotel, Chicago, Feb. 3, 1910, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the secretary, Jan. 28, 1910.. "Upon the call of the president, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees, of the University of Illinois, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Chicago, at 2:00 o'clock p. m., Thursday, Feb. 3, 1910, toconsider such matters as may be presented by the president of the University." When the board met pursuant to this call the following members were present: Messrs. Abbott, Davison, Hatch, Meeker, Mrs. Bahrenburg and Mrs. Busey; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Blair, Crebs, Grout, Moore, and Mrs. Evans. President James was present. There being no quorum present, the board adjourned.

Meeting of the Executive Committee.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Grand Pacific hotel in Chicago, in the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 3, 1910. The members of the committee, present were Mr. Abbott and Mrs. Bahrenburg. Mr. Grout was absent. Other members of the board present were: Messrs. Davison, Hatch, Meeker and Mrs. Busey. President James was present.

LEASE TO Dtt. L. BLAKE BALDWIN.

The matter of the default in payment on the lease of a part of the pharmacy building to Dr. L. Blake Baldwin was considered, and it was ordered that the comptroller, Professor S. W. Shattuck, proceed to secure judgment for the amount of default against Dr. L. Blake Baldwin, principal, and John E. Walsh, security.
