15. A recommendation that Herbert W. Denio be appointed cataloger in the Library at seventy-five dollars ($75) per month, work and salary to begin Oct. 1, 1908, and run to Aug. 31, 1909. Voted on motion of Mr. Lehman that said appointment be made on terms recommended. 16. A recommendation from the Dean of the College of Engineering that two hundred and thirty new lockers be purchased for the shops of the mechanical engineering department and that a sum not to exceed seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) be appropriated for the purchase of these lockers. Voted on motion of Mrs. Evans t h a t this recommendation be approved and the appropriation of a,sum not to exceed seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) for this purchase be made. COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE.' 17. Recommendations from the Dean of the College of Agriculture and the Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station. First—That the salary of J. M. Barnhart, assistant chemist in the dairy department, be fixed at eleven hundred dollars ($1,100) for the term of twelve months, beginning Sept. 1, 1908. < Second—-That Mr. A. D. Emmett be appointed associate in animal nutrition in the laboratory of physiological chemistry, department of animal husbandry, at a salary of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) per year, work and salary to begin the first of September, 1908, and said appointment is for two years. Third-—That George Goodrich Coale, of Richmond, Indiana, be appointed assistant in animal husbandry for the term of twelve months at a salary of eight hundred and forty dollars ($840), beginning Sept. 1, 1908. Fourth—That the President of the University be authorized to appoint an additional assistant in the department of animal husbandry on part time at a salary not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500). Fifth—That a copy of the Illinois Agriculturist, published by the Agricultural Club, be sent to the high schools in the State, the cost of the same to be charged to the appropriation for college extension. Sixth—That the^ Experiment Station be permitted to enter into certain cooperative experiments with the University of Wisconsin to test the efficiency of the so-called "ophthalmic and skin tests for tuberculosis in cattle." That the question of granting requests for holding livestock sales in the judging pavilion be referred to the Committee on Agriculture. Seventh—That the following schedule of charges for conducting official butter fat tests of pure bred dairy cattle within the State of Illinois, traveling expenses included, be adopted. 1 day test $ 6 00 2 day test 8 00 N 7 day test 25 00 30 day test 80 00 Additional days, $3.00 a day and tests made outside of the State of Illinois at $1.00 a day additional. Voted on motion of Mr. Lehman that said recommendation be approved. 18. Recommendation that Aurora L. Buckner be appointed stenographer in Professor Parr's office at a salary of forty dollars a month, for ten months beginning Sept. .17, 1908. Voted that said recommendation be approved. 19. Communication from the Dean of the Agricultural College accompanied with various communications relating to a call to another institution which had been extended to Professor Mumford.
