Fourth—At present I expect to be able to get the results, of the investigation into complete shape to present to the commission by the Christmas holidays at the latest, and if possible earlier than this date. Fifth—The publication of the detailed results of the investigation will require several volumes. I am preparing a request to present to the Carnegie Institution at Washington, asking that the complete results of our work-be published in full through that channel. This request will be placed in your hands for your approval in the near future. In the meantime much of the data will appear in condensed form in the various scientific journals from time to time. Mrs., Alexander moved t h a t $5,000 be appropriated for this purpose from the $30,000 appropriated by the General Assembly for a veterinary college and research laboratory, provided the approval of the Attorney General for such use of the money should first be obtained. This motion was lost. On motion of Mr. Davidson, $5,000 was appropriated from the $30,000 fund. CORPS OF INSTRUCTION OF THE SCHOOL. OF PHARMACY. 5. A recommendation that the following persons he appointed to positions in the School of Pharmacy at the salaries indicated, work and salary beginning Sept. 1, 1908, unless otherwise indicated, namely: F. M. Goodman, $1,200.00. W. A. Puckner, $1,800.00. C. S. N. Hallberg, $1,800.00. W. B. Day, $2,000.00. C. N. Snow, $500.00. A. H. Clark, $500.00. E. M. Gathercoal, $500.00. H. H. Rogers, $50.00 per month (for three months). R. Meseck, Janitor, $65.00 per month. H. Erieksbn, stenographer, $45.00 per month. James McCracken, engineer, $75.00 per month (for seven months). Voted on motion of Mr. Davidson that- the said persons be elected to the positions named at the salaries indicated.

DELEGATES TO INTERNATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS CONFERENCE.

6. Statement that the President of the University had appointed Dr. T. J. Burrill, Dr. W; J. McNeal, and Mr. C. C. Hayden as delegates of the University of Illinois to the International Tuberculosis Congress now in session in the city of Washington, D. C. This was done on the recommendation of the Director of the Experiment Station and Dr. Burrill, representing that the attendance of these delegates at the Tuberculosis Congress would be a very useful element in the tuberculosis investigation now being carried on by the University of Illinois.

CONFERENCE ON TUBERCULOSIS IN CATTLE.

7. A statement by the President that the Director of the Experiment Station had called a conference at the University of Illinois beginning Tuesday evening, October 13, and extending through the next day, to consider the best methods of procedure in view of the great prevalance of tuberculosis among cattle and swine in this country and its greater prevalence in the older countries of Europe.
