another, under new conditions and in an environment altogether different, without injustice to the institution which disciplined them, and without injury to the institution which receives them; and WHEREAS, Under such circumstances every effort should be made to save the student under discipline from losing his educational opportunities, provided it may be done without injury to the students of the institution which he seeks to enter; and WHEREAS, The authorities of every institution of learning to which students under discipline may apply for entrance are and must be free to pass judgment upon each case on its merits, with regard to the particular conditions of their own institutions, and must determine for themselves whether students under discipline elsewhere may enter their institution without injury to other students; therefore, be it Resolved, That the University of Illinois stands ready in all cases to furnish all the facts concerning the record, suspension, or dismissal of any student disciplined, and does not consider the action of any sister institution in such cases, whatever it may be, as a reflection upon its own course; and, be it further Resolved, That in the opinion of the authorities of the University of Illinois, justice and courtesy require that this should be the rule of conduct governing all such cases between colleges and universities.

On motion of Mr. Lehman, the following action was t a k e n : It is hereby ordered that the Urbana & Champaign Railway, Gas and Electric Company be, and hereby is, directed to remove its track through the grounds of the University of Illinois now laid on what is known as the westward continuation of Green street, Urbana, and to replace the surface thereof in good condition by Sept. 1, 1909. The board adjourned.
