Voted that the said amount of $112 be reappropriated for the expenses of the Committee on the High School Conference.

14. A l e t t e r from Dr. C. F . N e w c o m b of Champaign, p r o t e s t i n g a g a i n s t t h e use of University h a l l s b y t h e Christian Science Association.

Voted that said protest be referred to a special committee, and President Bullard appointed on thisacommittee Messrs. McLean, Kerrick and Abbott. The board then took a recess until 2:00 o'clock p. m.

Afternoon Session, December 11, 1906.

When the board convened after the recess, the same members were present as at the morning session.

The following letter from Mr. William George, president of the Illinois Bankers' Association, was presented by President James, and was referred to be considered in connection with the report on legislative appropriations.
