Mr. Henry Carl Scheld, Violin, and Leader of the Military Band and Mr. Maurice Eisner, Piano, do not desire reappointment. I recommend that authority be conferred to fill these vacancies. Fellowships. The appointment of Fellows recommended by the Council of Administration, the stipend of each to be $300: William Crocker, in Botany. Robert Earl Richerdson, in Zoology. Chester Ellis Barris, in Physiology. George I. Reeves, in Entomology. Preparatory School. The following appointments are recommended: 1. Frank Hamsher, Principal, $2,000 a year. 2. Bertha Marion Pillsbury, English, $80 a month for ten months. 3. John Ezra Miller, Latin and Greek, $80 a month for ten months. 4. Ernest Barnes Lytle, Mathematics and Physics $75 a month for ten months. 5. Margaret Annie Scott, German and French, $80 a month for ten months. 6. Walter Charles Lindiey, Rhetoric, $75 a month for ten months. 7. Cline Flemming Davidson, Mathematics, $80 a month for ten months. 8. John Thomas Johnson, Natural Science, $80 a month for ten months. Instructors in Shop Practice. The following appointments are recommended: 1. Albert Root Curtiss, Work Shop, $90 a month for ten months. 2. William Gordon Fraser, Machine Shop, $85 a month for ten months. 3. Henry Jones, Smith Shop, $65 a month for ten months. 4. James Henderson Wilson, Foundry, $65 a month for ten months. Student Assistants.

I recomment that $1,000 be appropriated for service by students who may be employed by the President from time to time as may be necessary. Clerical Assistants. 1. Lillie Heath, Secretary to the President, $1,000 a year. 2. Levi Augustus B.uce, Clerk in Office of Registrar. $900 a year. 3. Oren Elmer Staples, Clerk in Office of Business Manager, $780 a year. 4. Susan Wilson Fork, Clerk in the Office of the Dean of the College of Engineering, $720 a year. 5. Jennie Morse Lnfiin. Clerk in the Office of the Dean of the College of Literature and Arts. $660 a year. 6. Olive Faith S^xon, Stenographer in the President's office, $H60 a year. 7. Lulu M Intosh Lego, Clerk and Stenographer in the Office ot the VicePresident and the Dean of the Graduate School, $480 a year.
