LIBRARY AND LIBRARY SCHOOL. That the following appointments in the Library and the Library School be made twelve months, with thirty days vacation, with annual salaries as indicated :

Isadore Gilbert Mudge, Assistant Professor of Library Economy and Reference Librarian Margaret Mann, Assistant Librarian and Instructor in Library Economy......; Frances Simpson, Instructor in Cataloging Willard Otis Waters, Order Clerk Katherine O'Donovan Manley, Assistant in charge of Loan Desk Minnie Earl Sears, Assistant Cataloger „ Emma Reed Jutton, Assistant in charge of Loan Desk Agnes Mary Cole, Reviser, ten months from Sept. 1,1902 Amy Constance Moon, Reviser, ten months from Sept. 1,1902...... I also recommend that you confer upon me authority to employ an additional assistant at a salary not to exeeed $500, if the circumstances in the fall shall seem to make such a step imperative.

GYMNASIUM.

I recommend that appointments be made as follows: 1. George A. Huff, Director of the Department of Physical Training, at $1,800 for the year. 2. Hiram Boardman Conibear, Assistant Director of Physical Training, $1,200 for the year. 3. Adolph Kreikenbaum, Assistant, $60 a month for ten months. In case Mr. Kreikenbaum should decline the appointment I recommend that authority be given to employ another, or to use the sum authorized in employing students for work upon the gymnasium floor.

LABORATORY AND OTHER ASSISTANTS.

I recommend that appointments be made as follows for ten months: 1. William Frederick Schulz in the Physics Laboratory at $60 a month. 2. Harry Curtis Marble in the Electrical Laboratory at $60 a month. 3. Henry Allan Gleason in the Botanical Laboratory at $60 a month. 4. Harry Clay Coffeen, in General Engineering Drawing at $60 a month. 5. Adam Vause Millar, in General Engineering Drawing at $60 a month. 6. Edwin Lyon Draper, in Military, at $10 a month. 7. James Franklin Duffy, Jr., in Military, at $10 a month. 8. Curt August Sehroeder, in Chemical Laboratory, at $60 a month. 9. Otis Orion Stanley, in Physiology, at $60 a month. 10, That David L. Scroggins be appointed Mechanician in Machine Shop at $70 a month for ten months. I recommend that the professors of Chemistry be authorized to employ four additional assistants on half time, at $30 each a month. Water Survey. I recommend that Robert Watt Stark be appointed Chief Assistant at $85 a month for twelve months.
