curately kept, t h a t t h e receipts and disbursements, amounting to three and one-half million dollars, have been fully reported, and t h a t t h e balances due t h e University were correctly stated by Mr. Bunn at t h e close of his term of office, and WHEREAS, This board deems it fitting t h a t recognition be made of this long-continued, faithful performance of duty; therefore be it Besolved, T h a t we, t h e trustees of t h e University of Illinois, hereby testify to our high appreciation of Mr. Bunn's valuable and efficient services as treasurer of t h e University during t h e past twenty-six years, and to our great esteem for his business ability and integrity. Besolved, T h a t these resolutions be recorded in t h e proceedings of this board, and t h a t a copy of them, suitably engrossed, be presented to Mr. Bunn. S. A. BtmLARD, f Commto " The question of opening streets and of buying land from Mr. Bronson was referred to t h e committee on buildings and grounds. The committee on buildings and grounds was directed to put up a shelter for persons waiting to take t h e street cars on Green street, in front of University Hall, t h e shelter to be inside t h e fence. The committee on buildings and grounds was directed to investigate fully and report a t the next meeting with regard to t h e fire-escapes from the fourth story of University Hall. The board adjourned.
