The President of the B o a r d of Direction was given a u t h o r i t y , a s asked, t o appoint a second a s s i s t a n t chemist for t h e Experiment Station, a t a salary of $60 per m o n t h . The chairman of t h e Committee on Buildings a d Grounds reported t h a t i t would cost a b o u t $250 t o p u t u p a suitable flagstaff and furnish a set of flags. The m a t t e r was referred back t o t h e Committee for a further r e p o r t a t t h e next meeting. An a p p r o p r i a t i o n of $ 1 0 0 was made from t h e receipts from the Griggs farm, for t h e construction of a fence on t h e west side of t h e farm, between i t a n d Mr. Pell's land. The Business Agent, Professor Shattuck, made t h e following report, which was a p p r o v e d :

Paper A is a report of t h e current appropriations for t h e three months ending December 1, 1890. Paper B is a showing of t h e state appropriations, December 1, 1890. Paper C is a list of vouchers presented for audit, being 926 to 967 old series, and 1 to 225 new series. Paper D is an estimate of receipts and expenses for t h e nine months ending September 1, 1891, on t h e present basis. Kespectfully submitted,
