PROCEEDINGS OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES. 101 On motion of Mr. Billiard, there was a p p r o p r i a t e d : From state appropriation for apparatus and material— For civil engineering instruments For gauges and instruments of precision for machine shop For geologic relief map For aneroid barometer $250 00 3*0 00 10 00 40 00 On motion of Mr. Harker, there was appropriated : F r o m state a p p r o p r i a t i o n for cabinets— For human skeleton F o r c u r r e n t e x p e n s e s of zoological l a b o r a t o r y $50 00 50 00 On motion of Mr. Billiard, there was appropriated: F r o m c u r r e n t funds— F o r d e s k s , s e t t e e s , racks, etc $200 00 And on motion of Mr. Harker, there was appropriated from t h e same fund, in p a y m e n t of t h e Regent's bill for traveling expenses, 1123.42. On motion of Mr. Harker, t h e Secretary was instructed t o return t o Mr. F o s t e r North, of Kewanee, his letter t o t h e Board, and t o s a y t o him t h a t t h e proposition therein contained w a s declined. The Board then adjourned t o meet a t t h e University a t 8:30 o'clock a. m. Wednesday. SESSION OF WEDNESDAY. The Board m e t a t t h e University parlor a t 9 o'clock a. m., Wednesday, t h e same members being present a s on t h e previous day. The Treasurer, Mr. J . W.
