Messrs. McKay a n d Millard, of t h e Finance Committee, being absent, t h e President appointed Messrs. Bennett a n d Clemens on t h e committee t o serve for this meeting. So much of t h e Regent's report as related t o t h e loss by fire a n d t o rebuilding t h e b a r n was, on motion, referred t o t h e Committee on Buildings a n d Grounds with instructions t o consider t h e m a t t e r a n d report t o t h e Board later during this meeting. The requests made by t h e B o a r d of Direction of t h e Experiment S t a t i o n for a u t h o r i t y t o undertake new work, were g r a n t e d on m o t i o n of Mr. Cobb. Also, on motion of Mr. Cobb, appropriations of Station funds were made as asked, for b o t h t h e current a n d t h e next quarters. The report of t h e L i b r a r y Committee was received a n d a p proved on motion of Mr. Cobb. I t was voted t h a t t h e L i b r a r y Committee should consist of t h e Regent, t h e Business Agent, a n d t h e Librarian, Prof. J . D. Crawford, a n d t h a t t o them should be entrusted t h e expendit u r e of t h e s t a t e a p p r o p r i a t i o n of $1,000.00 for tlje use of t h e l i b r a r y ; a n d t h e Committee was instructed t o consult with t h e chairman of t h e Executive Committee. The B o a r d then adjourned t o meet a t t h e Doane House, in Champaign, a t 9 o'clock p . m.

The B o a r d convened a t t h e Doane House according t o adjournment, t h e same members being present a s in t h e afternoon. On motion of Mr. Cobb, a p p r o p r i a t i o n s were made a s follows:
