Several classes are in session in Bevier Hall during ExplorACES just for you. See the complete schedule on page 4. Is Ag Communications Right for You? Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall Get to know the U of I Agricultural Communications program and the specialized niches available for Ag Com students. Get acquainted with Ag Com, meet faculty and students to learn where an Ag Com degree can take you! Food Product Development Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall Do you know what is involved in bringing your latest favorite food from an idea to the product you buy in the supermarket? Interested in learning how to develop new food products? Come see this exhibit! Hospitality Management Association Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall The Hospitality Management Association is comprised mainly of students majoring in Hospitality Management, but there are some non-majors in the group. This exhibit features a tour of the Bevier Cafe/Spice Box kitchen, garnishing demonstrations and cake decorating. Tours begin every half hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (No tours to be given from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday) and beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The Association of Food Technologists Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall AFT fosters a close relationship among the Department of Food Science students and faculty. Our club encourages leadership and educates students on the realm of Food Science. Stop by AFT’s booth and spin the wheel to learn more about food science and win some prizes. Child Development Lab Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall Students have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in learning how to work with children. See and overview our CDL classrooms and activities for children from the ages of six weeks to 5 years of age. Students working in these classrooms are mentored by our Master Teachers. A Rainbow a Day Really Does Keep the Doctor Away! Bevier Commons, Bevier Hall The Nutritional Sciences Graduate Student Association will show you the connection between diet and health...in a very colorful way! Come to their booth to learn exactly why you should eat your fruits & veggies. Learn about the rainbow of phytonutrients, and then show off your new knowledge in our color game. You might even win a prize!
