Animal Sciences Laboratory (ASL)

Manipulating Thermoregulatory Responses in Baby Pigs First Floor, ASL This student’s research examined an experimental group of pregnant sows that were given a feed additive. The piglets were either challenged with LPS or injected with saline. Blood samples from the piglets were analyzed for cortisol and various cytokines. Age-related changes in hippocampal neuron morphology after activation of the innate immune system First Floor, ASL Learn about the aim of this research, which was to determine if inflammation affects neuron morphology, specifically spine density, in the dorsal CA1 of the hippocampus in adult and aged mice.
