MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS April 19, 1951 On invitation of Governor Adlai E. Stevenson, the April, 1951, meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Executive Mansion, Springfield, Illinois, on Thursday, April 19, 1951, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mr. Grange, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hickman, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Megran, Mr. Nickell, Governor Stevenson, Mrs. Watkins. Also present were President George D. Stoddard, Provost C. R. Griffith, Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. As the Board convened, Governor Stevenson withdrew from the meeting, stating that he would join the Board later for luncheon. 649
