MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS October 23, 1951 The October meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Tuesday, October 23, 1951, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The following members of the Board were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mr. Grange, Mr. Herrick, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Megran, and Mrs. Watkins; Mr. Nickell took his place with the Board later. Also present were President George D. Stoddard, Provost Coleman R. Griffith, Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Mr. C. Lincoln Williston, Manager of Public Information in the Chicago Professional Colleges, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. 1253
