RELEASES OF FUNDS FROM STATE-WIDE PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS APPROPRIATION (12) A report that Governor Dwight H. Green has authorized the release of funds from the appropriation made to the University of Illinois by the 64th General Assembly in the "Act making appropriations for a State-wide system of public works projects, including all ordinary and contingent expenses relating thereto," as follows: Release No. 216 "For construction of Betatron and Physics Research Laboratory and equipment $1 500 000" Amount released $1 064 900 T o be used for the design, construction, and installation of the large capacity Betatron unit. Release No. 217 "For removal of Health Service Station to another University building to be designated by the Board of Trustees, remodeling of said building and equipment $ 42 000" Amount released $ 42 000 To be used as designated in the title for this item. Release No. 218 "For construction of fire protection facilities and equipment (to meet National Board of Fire Underwriters recommendations, partial) $ 120 000" Amount released $ 3 225 T o supplement the $21,500 released on June 10 (Release No. 19s), which has proved insufficient to purchase the equipment authorized at that time.
