620 BOAKD OF TRUSTEES [August 29 and Rehabilitation Administration. A number of medical and dental schools were asked to contribute the services of members of their staffs on this Mission. When the Italian Medical Nutrition Mission was set up it was planned to devote a full calendar year to this Survey, but many of the men selected for the Mission were not able to get away from their duties for that length of time, which was so in the case of Doctor Schour. When the personnel was selected it was divided into two parts, one of which was to institute the work and devote about six months to it and then be relieved by the second group This plan has been authorized by other universities concerned. Doctor Schour left the University on May 8 and will return to his teaching duties on October 1, 1945. The Executive Dean of the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy and the Acting Dean of the College of Dentistry recommended that Dr. Maury Massler, Assistant Professor of Histology, be given a leave of absence on full pay from September I, 1945, to February 1, 1946, to replace Doctor Schour on this Mission. On motion of Dr. Meyer, this leave was granted as recommended. CLINICAL FACULTY O F T H E COLLEGE O F MEDICINE FOR 1 9 4 5 - 1 9 4 6 (6) A recommendation that the following appointments be made to the nonsalaried, or clinical, faculty of the College of Medicine for the academic year beginning September I, 1045; that the President of the University be authorized to make such additional appointments and other changes as are desirable and necessary. (See page 653 for list of appointments.) All appointments are for one year from September 1, 1945, unless otherwise indicated. While they are included in the main list, there is submitted separately a list of the new appointees to the clinical faculty for next year. A summary by departments of the number of appointments and the comparative figures for 1944-1945 is also submitted. On motion of Dr. Meyer, these appointments were made as recommended.
