1943] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 369 During the presentation of this report, President Livingston, being called from the room, requested Mr. Davis to take the chair. The Committee on General Policy was requested to study the reports of these and all other recent surveys of the University and of higher education in Illinois, and to formulate recommendations to the Board. MEDICAL PRACTICE ACT Dean Allen reported that the State Department of Registration and Education, following conferences with the medical colleges of the state, has agreed to introduce an amendment to the Medical Practice Act to provide that students matriculated in those colleges in 1942, 1943, and 1 9 ^ may be admitted to the state examinations on the basis of thirtysix months of instruction. This report was received for record.
