1938] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 97 Mr. A. R. Hopkins, of the Chicago division of the Radio Corporation of America, made a statement concerning the expense of operation and maintenance of the RCA transmitter. Director Josef F. Wright and Engineer A. J. Ebel also made statements. On motion of Mr. Pogue, the purchase of an RCA transmitter was authorized, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Mayer, Mr. Moschel, Mr. Pogue; no, Mrs. Plumb; not voting, Mr. Cleary, Mrs. Freeman; absent, Mr. Adams, Mr. Horner, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Wieland. C. P. A. LAW At this point, Mr. Cleary, for the Committee on General Policy, reported concerning the proposal that the General Assembly be asked to relieve the University of the administration of the C.P.A. law (Minutes, July 15, 1938, page 3), that the Committee did not consider that such a change would be advisable at this time, and recommended that the matter be dropped. On motion of Mr. Cleary, this report was received, and the Committee was discharged from further consideration of this matter. The Board adjourned. H. E. CUNNINGHAM OSCAR G.
