SABBATICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DR. R. F. PATON (1) A request from Dr. R. F . Paton, Associate Professor of Physics, endorsed by the head of the department and the dean of the college, for sabbatical leave of absence on one-half pay for the year 1933-34 under the rules of the Board governing such leaves. This will involve no additional expense, as the department will carry Professor Paton's work on the other half of his salary. O n m o t i o n of M r s . H o p k i n s , t h i s l e a v e w a s g r a n t e d . LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR S. E. GRIFFITH (2) A recommendation that S. E. Griffith, Janitor Foreman, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident on August 22, last, while engaged in University work, be given leave of absence with pay from that date until he is able to resume his work on the campus, which will probably be sometime during October. H e has been looking after some of his responsibilities from the Burnham Hospital, where he is confined, using his room there as office headquarters. O n m o t i o n of M r s . H o p k i n s , this leave w a s g r a n t e d . EXECUTIVE STAFF OF McKINLEY HOSPITAL (3) A recommendation that Doctors J. H . Beard, V. A. Ross, and Maude L. Etheredge be reappointed as the executive staff of McKinley Hospital to serve from July I, 1932, to July I, 1933, in accordance with the policy adopted by the Board on April 8, 1925 (Minutes, page 196).
