136 BOARD OF TRUSTEES SALE OF RANTOUL FARM [November 18, (1) A recommendation from the Executive Committee that the socalled Rantoul farm of the Smith lands be sold to Mr. Thomas F. Molloy and Mrs. Jennie L. Molloy for $175 an acre or a total of $37,450, according to the terms outlined on page 123 above. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was approved. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Carr, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Small, Mr. Trevett. PURCHASE OF SCHAEFER PROPERTY (2) A recommendation from the Executive Committee that the Schaefer property at the corner of Springfield and Mathews avenues in Urbana be purchased at a price of $12,000 according to the terms outlined oh page 124 above. This property is described as Lots 1, 2, and 3 of Joseph Nelson's Addition to Urbana, as shown by plat dated May 1, 1869, and is recorded in Book 18, page 224 of the Records of Champaign County, Illinois, in the City of Urbana. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was approved. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Carr, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Small, Mr. Trevett. BOND FOR M I L I T A R Y SUPPLIES (3) A request that the Comptroller be authorized to execute with the American Surety Company, which has carried the bond in the past, a bond in favor of the United States of America for $100,000 for one year, at a cost of $250. This bond is to cover military supplies. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this request was granted and the appropriation was made. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Carr, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Small, Mr. Trevett. I N V E S T M E N T OF BRYAN FUND (4) A recommendation that the Comptroller be authorized to invest the Bryan fund of $250 in some interest-bearing security. On motion of Mr. Blair, this recommendation was approved.
