On motion of Mrs. Evans, these recommendations were approved, to be effective as of September 1, 1917.

O F F E R OF LINDSEY FARM (6) A letter from Little and Finfrock to the effect that the Lindsey farm, consisting of 84 acres more or less, located west of the St. Mary's Cemetery and east of the Illinois Central right of way, and adjoining the University farm west of the First Street road, would be sold at auction on December 6, 1916, and could be purchased for not less than $270 an acre. This tract is described as the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter and the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 24, township 19 north, range 8 east of the third principal meridian and all that part of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter, and all that part of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section 19, township nineteen north, range nine east of the third principal meridian lying west of the public highway known as the First Street road.

This matter was referred to Mr. Hoit for investigation and report.

LEGISLATIVE ASKINGS (7) A request from Mr. Finley F . Bell, of the Legislative Reference Bureau, for a report of the appropriations to be asked from the next General Assembly.
