1911] PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. 531 clrecl five dollars ($7,605.00) was appropriated for the improvements named, subject to authorization in the case of each item by the Committee on Buildings and Grounds. COAL CONVEYORS FOR THE BOILER HOUSE. (8) A recommendation that $2,500.00 he appropriated from the State appropriation for the heating and lighting plant to provide coal conveyors for the boiler house. This recommendation was referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds, with power to act. ELEVATOR INSPECTION. (9) A recommendation that the question of inspection for the elevators in University buildings be referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds, with power to act. This recommendation was approved. RETURN OP CHECKS TO BIDDERS ON BUILDINGS. (10) A recommendation that the secretary be directed to return the •certified checks submitted with their bids by the firms bidding on the School of Commerce building and the addition to the Woman's building, except the checks accompanying the lowest and the next to the lowest bid on each building.
