Meeting of December 12, 1911.

By order of the president, W. L. A b b o t t / t h e quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was called to meet at the Blackstone hotel in Chicago on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1911, at 12:31) p. m. When the board convened pursuant to the' call, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Moore.. Vice President Burrill was present. There being no quorum, the board adjourned.

Meeting of the Executive Committee December 12, 1911.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone hotel in Chicago immediately following the adjournment of the quarterly meeting of Dec. 12, 1911. There were present: Messrs. Abbott and Hatch, members of the committee, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans and Mr. Moore, members of the board, Vice. President Burrill, and, during a part of the afternoon, Mr. W. Carbys Zimmerman, State Architect.

A P P O I N T M E N T S TO E I L L V A C A N C I E S .

The secretary presented the following report of appointments made by the vice president of the University to" fill vacancies provided for in the budget which was passed on J u l y 8, 1911, or vacancies caused by resignation and declination: Andros, Stephen Osgoode, field assistant in cooperative mining work, with a salary at the rate of fifteen hundred dollars ($.1,500*0.0) per year of twelve months (and field expenses), this appointment becoming effective as soon as he reports for service and to extend until Aug. 31, 1912. (November 27, 3911.) Gephart, Frank, chemist in the Water Survey, from Nov. 11, 1911, to Aug. 31, 1912, with a salary at the rate of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year of twelve months.
