After the bidders had retired the proposals were discussed at considerable length, and it appearing that to use stone in two colors which would be satisfactory, as had been proposed, would bring the cost of the building above the money available, it was voted to refer the proposals to the architects with instructions that they should advise the Board, as soon as possible, as to the best course to pursue under existing conditions.

President Draper reported for the committee appointed to attend to the transfer of the Chicago College of Pharmacy to the University, that the committee, accompanied by the Business Manager had met the Board of Trustees of the Chicago College of Pharmacy on the afternoon of Saturday, May 2, 1896.
