Textbook and t e a c h e r ' s guide f o r a ne curriculum have been published and a r e i n use throughout t h e c o u n t r y . P r o j e c t i s supported in p a r t by National Science Foundation. D i r e c t o r i s Max Beberman. DIVISION OF EDUCATION, CHICAGO Undergraduate Division, was e s t a b l i s h e d i n V Director of t h e Division i n Victor E. Ricks, who s u p e r v i s e s a l l t training curricula offered i n t h e several c o l l e g e s . Education programs s a t c e r t i f i c a t i o n requirements f o r teaching i n Chicago a r e a elementary schoolr . S M E SESSION was f i r s t held i n 1894. Summer s e s s i o n s now i n c l u d e n o t only U MR classes on the campuses, b u t a l s o f i e l d camps i n a r c h a e o l o g y , f o r e s t r y , geology, and other subjects. These a r e l o c a t e d i n v a r i o u s p a r t s of t h e country where special opportunities or features a r e a v a i l a b l e .
