Page 7 ADMISSION to the University is open to graduates of accredited high schools who meet entrance requirements and others who pass entrance tests. Admissions and Records are under Charles W, Sanford, dean of admissions.

CLASS SIZE is given serious consideration. Hundreds of students receive individual instruction in music, thesis courses, and the like. Courses involving large lectures have the same students meet in small discussion sections. In 1957-58, 5,100 classes—4,659 undergraduate and kkl graduatemet at Urbana-Champaign, and 99^ &t the Chicago Undergraduate Division* Class size is indicated in the following table.
