100. The director ov chief officer of the above mentioned 5i organizations shall be responsible for the efficienl organization and progress of the work entrusted to his direction. 101. Those of the above mentioned organizations located ai the University o( Illinois in Qrbana-Champaign mav be affiliated with the appropriate department of instruction in the University, •50 the nature and degree of such affiliation to be determined in each instance by the Board oi' Trustees. ATHLETICS AND HYGIENE 102. Athletics and hygiene shall be administered as a department of instruction in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. 103. This department shall exercise supervision over athletic 555 games, sports, and exercises, the physical training and health of students, and the University dispensary and hospital. 104. Intercollegiate athletics shall be under the control of the Senate. MILITARY SCIENCE 105. Military science shall be administered as a department :>i;0 of instruction in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. 106. The Commandant during his term of service shall be Prof of Military Science and head of the department, with the same rights and duties as other heads o( departments, subject only to the limitations imposed by Federal Statutes and the War l ."i I department. AMENDMENTS 107. Wiis Constitution may be amended by a majority vote of p( i of all the members of the Board of Trustees constituting it by law ; provided thai DO amendment, unless it shall have been propot by the Senate, shall be voted upon until it has first been referred to thai bodj for consideration and recommendation.
