3. Space and equipment rental: a. Office space — $5.05 p e r square foot per year. A total of 2,396 square feet of office space is assigned to Ozark, making the annual rental of $12,099.80. I n the previous contract, 1,755 square feet of office space was provided at $4.00 per square foot per year or an annual amount of $7,020. b. Storage s p a c e — 100 square feet at $1 per square foot per year or $100 per year. This is the same as the provision in the preceding contract. c. Radio transmitter room — 32 square feet at $60 per year. This is the same as in the preceding contract. d. Use of loudspeaker-—$10 per month or $120 per year. This is the same as in the preceding contract. e. Out-station maintenance space in the Terminal Building basement — 150 square feet at $3 per square foot per year or $450 per year. This is the same as in the preceding contract. f. "Muzak" music system—$180 per year. This is a new item in the new contract.

On motion of Mr. Livingston, this contract was awarded.

Lease of Space at 409 East Chalmers Street, Champaign

(26) T h e President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the University of Illinois Foundation be requested to enter into an agreement to lease the entire second and third floors of Mini Tower at 409 East Chalmers Street, Champaign, from July 1, 1975, through June 30, 1980, at an annual rental of $70,000 plus, as additional rental, the pro rata share of real estate taxes. T h e Lessor will provide heat, water, janitor services, trash removal, and interior and exterior maintenance. T h e University will pay the metered cost of electricity consumed in the leased space including that required for the operation of the air conditioning. It is further recommended that the Foundation be requested to sublease the space to the University, subject to the availability of funds, on a fiscal year basis. Funds for the rental payments for FY 1976 will be included in the operating budget of the Operation and Maintenance Division at the Urbana-Champaign campus and will be requested on an annual basis thereafter. Easement to Northern Illinois Gas Company, Northeastern Agronomy Research Center at Elwood, Illinois

(27) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends (subject to the receipt of written authorization from the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare) the adoption of the following resolution authorizing the granting of an easement at the Northeastern Agronomy Research Center at Elwood, Illinois, to the Northern Illinois Gas Company. T h e Company has requested an easement for an eight-inch gas pipeline under the property and has offered in payment $1,500. T h e easement will not interfere with experimental field operations. T h e University agreed to accept title to the property under the terms of a grant agreement which provide in part that " . . . the Grantee will resell, lease, mortgage, or encumber, or otherwise dispose of the above described property or
