If you were teaching first-year library school students, how would you prepv them for your work? We consider your cooperation an important service to the profession. W e shall welcome all comments whether you completed the work for the degree or not. It is not necessary to sign your name, though that might help us in several ways. Please return the questionnaire to the Library School Office, soon as possible. KANSAS CITY M E E T I N G The University of Illinois Library School Alumni Association held its annual dinner meeting on June 16, 1938, at the Hotel Muehlebach in Kansas City during the 60th Annual American Library Association Conference. Jt was also the 41ft year since the organization of our Association. There were 219 present. Following an entertaining program of music and dancing presented by local performers the meeting was called to order by the President, W'ilma L. Shelton, who gave a brief address. Aliss Frances Simpson, Assistant Director of the Library Schoo emerita, was then welcomed by the 1 'resident, and responded with a few wor of greeting to the members of the Association. The report of the Secreta: Treasurer, Aliss Houchens, was read and approved. A letter of greeting t/om Mr. Windsor was read by the President. Aliss Ethel Bond read a letter I* Miss Amelia Krieg describing the general prospects for placement of gradua of the School. Aliss Bond also announced that Felix E. Snider of Fremon Missouri, had been awarded the Sharp Memorial Scholarship for 19J8-1W Air. Arnold I rotier gave a report on the Adah Patron Memorial Fund. \f financial report of the Trustees of the Endowment Fund, submitted b> John b.
