'04, has just completed a project of rc. cataloging and reclassifying the entire collection of the Michigan State College Library at Lansing, Mich.. The work has been done during the past ten years along with the handling of all the new accessions and with the aid of only one trained assistant. Gladys Judy, librarian of the Pratt Public Library, Pratt, Kansas, is Secretary-Treasurer for the Kansas Library Association for 1934-35. She also appeared on the program of the meeting last October. Ina Knerr, of the Catalog department of the University of Arkansas Library, gave a paper on, "Future outlook of cataloging," before the meeting of the Southwestern and Southeastern Library Associations last October. Jim P. Matthews, associate librarian of the University of Arkansas, spoke on, "Recent Regional biography/' at the Book dinner of the Southwestern and Southeastern Library Associations at Memphis. i Benthal McCollum, librarian of the John T. Allen High School, Austin, Texas, tells of a new course of study in the use of libraries for high school students. News Notes, Texas Library Association, vol. 11, p. 15, April, 1935. Marion Phillips, B.S. 1931, librarian of the Moorhead, Minnesota Public Library, spoke at the Glyndon Parent Teachers Association on Suitable Reading for Children. McLellan, in charge of inter-racial service at the Hartford Public Library, Hartford, Connecticut, was appointed Chairman of the Committee for the Connecticut Library Association on work with the foreign born for 1934-35.
