Our group from Illinois in Kentucky is growing each year. At the first meeting of the K.L.A. which I attended in 1929, Miss Noficier and I were the only Illinois graduates present. Now we have an enthusiastic group of ten or twelve present at the breakfast every year. I believe we have more Alumni in the state than any other library school; at least we seem to be the only group that gets together. We always enjoy our group meeting and those of us who attend the K.L.A. look forward to it each year.

At last, the Illini in this section have had a get-together. I am enclosing an account of a dinner given on Friday evening, January 11, when the librarians of Fargo, N. D., and the adjoining city of Moorhead, Minnesota, met at dinner at the Gardner Hotel in Fargo, in honor of Miss Julia Wright Merrill. Librarians from the State Library Commission, and from various libraries in the state of N. D. were also in attendance. Miss Merrill spoke of the library planning, and the proposed effort to receive federal aid. In addition to Miss Merrill, the following Illini were present: Miss Marion Phillips, Librarian of the Moorhead Public Library; Miss Sarah Hougham, Librarian of the Moorhead State Teachers' College; and Miss Harriet A. Pearson, Assistant Librarian, North Dakota Agricultural [College.

There were twelve states represented, Georgia, Virginia, ^nnessce, Kentucky, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New , !exico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Illinois. The occasion was a very informal one. Each one introduced himself and gave his present position. an d Mr. Stone who was presiding, called on a representative from each tate to make a few additional impromptu remarks. Regret was expressed hat no one representing the Library School could he present.
