39. Mrs. Marie C. Berger, Washington, D.C., $340 for a scholarship to any resident of the Trust Territory of Samoa for the academic year 1952-1953. 40. Lou Boudreau Trust Fund (a trust set up in the National Bank of Harvey, Illinois, by citizens of that community), $335 for the Lou Boudreau Scholarship awarded to three male graduates of Thornton Township High School attending the University. 41. Brook Hill Farms, Inc., Chicago, $100 for the continuation of the Brook Hill Farms Scholarship in dairy technology. 42. Gnlf, Mobile, and Ohio Railroad Company, Jackson, Tennessee, $2,200 for seven scholarships in agriculture and home economics for the academic year 1953-195443. Harrison Jules Louis Frank and Leon Harrison Frank Memorial Corporation, Detroit, Michigan, $500 for a scholarship in electrical engineering for the academic year 1952-1953. 44. Miss Hilda Kolb, Marine, Illinois, $5,000 as an initial gift to establish the Leo and Hilda Kolb Memorial Fund for scholarships for worthy and needy students from Madison County (with preference to be given to students from Marine Township). 45. Universal Oil Products Company, Des Plaines, Illinois, $1,000 for two scholarships ($500 each) in chemical engineering for the academic year 1953IQ S446. Alumni of the Department of Ceramic Engineering, $2,565 to renovate and equip the study and lounge room in the Ceramics Building. 47. The Citizenship Clearing House, New York University, New York, New York, $780 to the Institute of Government and Public Affairs for a conference on training of college students for political participation, held at Robert Allerton Park, December 5 and 6, 1952. 48. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clamage, Chicago, $200 to add to previous funds given by them in memory of their son, Raymond Clamage, who died in World War II. The total of this fund is now $902.79 and it has been changed from a student loan fund to the Raymond Clamage Prize endowment, the income to be used for awarding prizes to students working on the Daily Mini under conditions and provisions approved by the President of the University. 49. Coal Producers Association of Illinois, $80, Illinois Coal Operators Association, $300, National Coal Association, $400, and Sahara Coal Company, Inc., $220, to pay for the publication of a brochure "Careers in Mining Engineering" by the University. 50. Estate of Jennie C. Lee, $7,911.16 for the Eddy Orland Lee student loan fund. (See also Minutes, December 22, 1952, page 495.) 5;. Link Aviation, Inc., Hillcrest, Binghamton, New York, a $5,000 unrestricted grant for the Institute of Aviation. 52. New Castle Products Company, Greencastle, Indiana, $1,000 to be added to the James M. White Memorial Fund, the income to be used for prize awards to students in the Department of Architecture. 53. Pi Beta Phi, Champaign Alumnae Club, $100 to assist needy women students. 54. College of Engineering undergraduate students, $341.78 net proceeds from St. Pat's Ball for a College of Engineering open house. 55. Shi-Ai, student inter-sorority organization, $550 to assist needy undergraduate women students. 56. University of Illinois Mother's Association, $100 to assist needy women students. 57. Women's District Grand Lodge No. 6, B'nai B'rith, Chicago, $100 for the Dr. Abram Leon Sachar Prize in History. 58. Women's Group System, $300 to assist needy women students.
