I concur and recommend that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute a contract with Nelson and Nettnin, Inc., for services in accordance with the terms and restrictions recommended.

On motion of Mrs. Holt, this contract was awarded and the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the same.

CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION O F NEW AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM IN T W O ROOMS OF THE N E U R O P S Y C H I A T R Y INSTITUTE (21) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $3,997 to Narowetz Heating and Ventilating Co., Chicago, the lowest bidder, for the installation of an air-conditioning system in Rooms 704 and 705 of the Neuropsychiatric Institute Building, which are used by the Department of Psychiatry for taking pictures of patients. Artificial cooling is necessary because of high intensity of illumination required causes excessive heat which can not be otherwise dissipated. Funds are available in a special appropriation approved by the Board of Trustees on December 16, 1953. I concur and recommend that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute this contract.

On motion of Mr. Herrick, this contract was awarded and the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the same.

CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ACOUSTICAL TREATMENT IN STAFF APARTMENT BUILDING AT THE CHICAGO PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES (22) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $3,736 to Fisher-Busse Co., Chicago, the lowest bidder, for an acoustical treatment of the corridors and elevator lobbies in the Staff Apartment Building at the Chicago Professional Colleges. Funds are available in the 1951 revenue bond construction account. I concur and recommend that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute this contract.

On motion of Mrs. Watkins, this contract was awarded and the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the same.

CONTRACT FOR LABORATORY F U R N I T U R E FOR CHICAGO PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES (23) T h e Business Manager of the Chicago Professional Colleges, the Director of the Physical Plant, and the Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $43,54745 to the Kewaunee Manufacturing Company, Adrian, Michigan, the lowest bidder, for the manufacture and installation of 135 pieces of laboratory furniture consisting of sinks, benches, drying racks, and other equipment in areas being remodeled for the Departments of Anatomy, Bacteriology, and Pathology in the College of Medicine and for Dental Clinics and Dental Radiology in the College of Dentistry. Funds are available in the special appropriation made by the Board of Trustees on May 15, 1954, for remodeling in these areas and also in the revenue bond construction account. I concur and recommend that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute this contract.

On motion of Mr. Johnston, this contract was awarded and the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the same.
